The Ezirim Foundation is a Winnipeg-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing immigrant economic mobility through structured entrepreneurship support and ecosystem alignment.
We believe that sustainable economic integration extends beyond employment. Business ownership, financial readiness, and access to capital are critical pathways to long-term stability, wealth creation, and community contribution.
Our work focuses on closing the readiness gap between early settlement services and mainstream business ecosystems. Many newcomer entrepreneurs possess strong ideas and professional experience, yet face structural barriers navigating regulatory systems, financial institutions, and Canadian market norms. The Foundation exists to address this gap through disciplined programming, measurable outcomes, and collaborative partnerships.
We operate with a commitment to:
• Structured, time-bound programming
• Measurable economic outcomes
• Governance-led accountability
• Non-partisan civic engagement
• Strategic ecosystem collaboration
As an incorporated nonprofit organization, we are governed by an independent board and guided by principles of transparency, fiscal responsibility, and long-term institutional credibility.
The Foundation operates at the intersection of integration and enterprise. We do not duplicate existing services. Instead, we strengthen Winnipeg’s economic ecosystem by preparing newcomer entrepreneurs to engage confidently with lenders, incubators, economic development agencies, and community partners.
Our flagship initiative, the Newcomer Business Launchpad, reflects this readiness-focused model — equipping participants with the tools required to launch viable, compliant, and income-generating businesses.
